ADVANCE, Mo. -- Harlin Edward Kennedy, 83, of Wardell, Mo., died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Mo.

He was born Feb. 8, 1921, at Oran, Mo., son of Arthur and Mary Lawson Kennedy. He and Mary Kincade were married Nov. 2, 1984, at Wardell.

Kennedy had been a baker at Bunny Bread, and was formerly of Advance.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry Kennedy of Scott City; a daughter, Barbara Modglin of Scott City; a stepson, Junior Kincade of Wardell; three stepdaughters, Joyce Wilson of Wardell, Shirley Keown of Farmington, Mo., and Debra Newsom of Hayti, Mo.; two sisters, Shirley Ladd of Zalma, Mo., and Violet Bock of Advance; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home Monday from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
