ADVANCE, Mo. -- Harley "Bud" Moyer, 85, of Advance passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 3, 1928, in Advance, son of Von and Ruth Hester Hawkins Moyer. Bud and Mary Alice Cobb were married April 12, 1950, in Pocahontas, Ark. She preceded him in death Feb. 3, 2013.
Bud had been a farmer, a lineman and an electrician. He was a member of Advance First Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Dickie) Graviett of Oran, Mo., and Malia (Steve) Landewee of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Aaron (Tracey) Graviett, Justin Graviett, Sara Landewee and Garrett Landewee; and a great-grandson, Drake Graviett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two sisters, Virginia Nace and Lotta Mae Robins.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Revs. Eric Shrum and Bud Schott officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military rites.
