Harley Edward Adams, 85, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of McClure, Ill., died Monday, May 9, 1994, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.
He was born Aug. 18, 1908, in Gale, Ill., son of Andrew P. and Minnie A. Bartels Adams. He and Jewel Behr were married in December 1951 at Thebes, Ill. She died July 28, 1986.
Adams had been a farmer, and a night watchman at the former Baggett Trucking Co. near Gale.
Survivors include a brother, Ernest Adams of Kent, Wash.; two sisters, Frieda Pierce of Cape Girardeau, and Lula Hutchison of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.
