MALDEN, Mo. -- Funeral for Thomas Henry "Hank" Dinkins of Malden will be held at 2 p.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Glen Graham will officiate. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery, with military graveside rites.
Dinkins, 74, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 27, 1926, at Senath, Mo., son of Ulysses S. and Goldia Irene Smith Dinkins. He and Emma Lou Rice were married May 13, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.
Dinkins was owner/operator of Dairy Queen and 20/20 Video. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom Dinkins of Bartlett, Tenn.; a daughter, Gayla Dinkins of Malden; two brothers, Wayne Dinkins of Kennett, Mo., Doug Dinkins of Freeburg, Ill.; three sisters, Geraldine Chaney of Southaven, Miss., Faye Sellers of Jackson, Tenn., Joan Mertens of Galveston, Texas; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
