MARBLE HILL -- Hadley Kirkpatrick, 88, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, March 4, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 3, 1908, at Marble Hill, son of Ollie Ray and Ida May McPherson Kirkpatrick. He and Ruby I. Reutzel were married April 14, 1932, at Jackson.

Kirkpatrick taught many years in Bollinger County schools. He then worked for Division of Family Services, retiring in 1971.

He was a member of Marble Hill United Methodist Church but attended Marble Hill Bible Chapel, and was a member of Trowel Masonic Lodge 440.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Gaines of Grassy, Elizabeth Barkhurst of Princeton, Ind.; a brother, Oliver Kirkpatrick of Marble Hill; a sister, Mae German of Delta, Colo.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Dr. John Englehart officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
