Hadley James

Hadley Hank James, 46, of Aroma Park, Ill., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home on West Court Street in Kankakee, Ill., where services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. His good friend and pastor, Randy Caswell, will officiate.

He was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God Church. He will be missed by his church family who loved him so much and who will mourn his loss, but know that he is now at home with the Lord Jesus.

Hank was born July 5, 1960, the fourth child and only son of Hadley and Jane Menz James, who survive. Also surviving are his sisters and brother-in-law, Larry and Debby Story of Advance, Kathy Smith of Bradley, Ill., and Joni Kezer of Columbia, Mo. He became a proud uncle at the age of 11, and will be deeply missed by his nephews and niece, Michael and Becky, Jason and James, Joshua, and all their children whom he loved so dearly.

He was a good, kind and loving man; a quiet and steady man, faithful to God, his family and his friends. He could always be counted on. He was given the gift of helps and he followed through by helping anyone he could. He was a wonderful loving son that any parent could be proud of and our precious little brother. He was special and we loved him so much, he was our baby.

Hank felt the loss of his paternal grandparents, Henry, Annie and Pearl James; maternal grandparents, Hazel, Ned and Irene Menz; several aunts, uncles and cousins, and his little dog, Gus, that he loved so much.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. To be absent in body is present with the Lord, and Hank is now safe and happy in the arms of the Lord.

Visitation will also be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, with a funeral service at the Free Trinity Pentecostal Church in Randles immediately following the visitation. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Don Leggett.

Burial will be in the Kenyon Missouri Cemetery.
