H. Wayne McCulley, 59, of 204 Franks Lane in Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 14, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 3, 1935, at Bell City, the son of Harrison and Ida Jane Drew McCulley. On May 28, 1955, he married Betty Atkinson, who survives of the home.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Cape Girardeau, where he formerly served as a board member and deacon. He also was a member of Gideons International, Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International, Missouri Chamber of Commerce, and the National Federation of Independent Businesses.
From 1953-1959, he worked as an assembly line worker for General Motors in St. Louis. He then worked two years as a route salesman for Midwest Dairy and 10 years for Pepsi-Cola Company in Cape Girardeau. He was general manager of Coca-Cola in Flat River from 1972-1977 and later owned and operated the Bible Book Store in Farmington. A licensed nursing home administrator, he managed Frederick Street Manor in Cape Girardeau and owned and operated Country Gardens Residential Facilities in Cape Girardeau.
Other survivors include three sons, Larry W. and Ronald L. McCulley, both of Cape Girardeau, and Kevin F. McCulley of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Kimberly S. Farrow of Jackson; a brother, Floyd McCulley of St. Louis; three sisters, Capitola Reed of Cape Girardeau, Mona Slemmer of Jackson and Melba McCulley of Los Angeles, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Gary L. Brothers will officiate, and entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
