SIKESTON -- Funeral service for H. Harrison Tanner will be held at 2 p.m. today at Wesley United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jerry Reynolds will officiate, with burial in Sikeston City Cemetery.
Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Tanner, 82, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 1995 at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 14, 1912, in Sikeston, son of Charles S. and Ella Sayers Tanner. He and Ethyl Dunn were married Oct. 23, 1932.
Tanner was a postal employee 30 years and also farmed. He was a member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees and Wesley Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Samuel Tanner of Little Rock, Ark., John Tanner of Santa Clara, Calif.; a sister, L. Ellen Vinson of Belle Glade, Fla.; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
