GWANDA HENCY

ORAN -- Gwanda June Hency, 65, of Springdale, Ark., formerly of Oran, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 1996, at her home.

She was born March 18, 1931, in St. Louis, daughter of Robert Macksey and Rhoda Rose Cook Yokley. She and Dean Hency were married July 1, 1950.

Hency had been a receptionist at Thorngate Ltd. in Cape Girardeau and at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Springdale.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert Hency of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Shauna Holden of Springdale, Ladeana Hency of Bentonville, Ark.; a brother, Robert Yokley of Mountain Home, Ark.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Oran, with the Rev. Rodney Goodsell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
