MARBLE HILL -- Guy Gustave Sickles, 72, of Marble Hill, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 4, 1921, in St. Louis, son of Guy Stanton and Marie Stocker Sickles. He and Gloria Jakubowski were married May 6, 1950.
Sickles was a retired truck driver, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of a Teamsters Local, St. John's Catholic Church at Leopold, 4th Degree knight with St. Isidore KC Council 5898, and member of American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, John and James Wood of St. Louis; a daughter, Sharon Thomas of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a brother, Fabian Sickles of St. Louis; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Church. The Rev. Michael Casteel will officiate, with burial in Old Union Cemetery at Bessville.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 5 p.m. Friday. Parish prayers will be at 7:30, and KC rosary at 8.
