BREWER -- Gustave Frederick Peterson III, 55, of Brewer died Monday, Sept. 13, 1993, at his home.
He was born Sept. 19, 1937, at Missoula, Mont., the son of Gustave F. Peterson Jr. and Margaret C. Leppert Peterson. On July 28, 1984, he married Emma Nitscht, who preceded him in death Sept. 10, 1992.
He was an operating engineer employed in highway construction. He also was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer and the Holy Name Society. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include a daughter, Joann Than of Montana; three sons, Mark Peterson, Todd Peterson, and Jon Peterson, all of Montana; a step-son, Larry Ponder of Laurinburg, N.C.; a brother, Charles Jon Peterson of St. Mary's, Ala.; and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 6:30-9:30 a.m. today at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. at Christ the Savior Church in Brewer. The Rev. Jon Peterson will officiate, and burial will be in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis.
