ADVANCE -- Grover Allen Townley, 75, of Advance, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 1995, at his home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1920, in Hackleburg, Ala., son of Clinton and Minnie Kelly Townley. He first married Quillie Mae Palmer, who preceded him in death. He and Balmar Head were married in 1954. She died Dec. 7, 1992.
Townley was a retired street worker with city of Advance.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Townley of Kalamazoo, Mich., Bobby Townley of Michigan; a daughter, Peggy Trowbridge of Steele; a sister, Maggie Barrow of Hackleburg; 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
There is no visitation or service. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee at a later date.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee was in charge of arrangements.
