Gregory Swoboda

Gregory Roy Swoboda, 34, of Cape Girardeau, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at 1 p.m. at his home.

Gregory was born on Aug. 6, 1986, in Cape Girardeau, a son of Gilbert and Linda Bucher Swoboda III. Gregory previously worked for Starbucks and was a big-hearted person with a great sense of humor.

Survivors include his mother, Linda Swoboda of Cape Girardeau; his brother, Stephen Swoboda of Cape Girardeau; and his dog, Loki.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Swoboda III.

Visitation for Gregory Roy Swoboda will be held be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Spencer Heights Memorial Cemetery in Mounds, Illinois.

Memorial contributions may be made to SEMO Search Dogs or a no-kill animal shelter of the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available and accepted at the funeral home.
