SIKESTON, Mo. -- Gregory "Greg" O'Guinn, 54, of Sikeston died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born Aug. 31, 1950, in St. Louis, son of Orbie and Dorotha Bushong O'Guinn. He first married Jolene Martin. He and Sandra Tucker Whitener were married May 8, 2000...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Gregory "Greg" O'Guinn, 54, of Sikeston died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 31, 1950, in St. Louis, son of Orbie and Dorotha Bushong O'Guinn. He first married Jolene Martin. He and Sandra Tucker Whitener were married May 8, 2000.

O'Guinn was a self-employed building contractor since 1997. Prior to that he owned G&M Automotive.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael and Jonathan O'Guinn; a daughter, Ashley O'Guinn; a stepson, Jonathan Whitener; two stepdaughters, Leah and Elizabeth Whitener; all of Sikeston; two brothers, Bill O'Guinn of Sikeston, Gene O'Guinn of O'Fallon, Ill.; a sister, June Benson of Sikeston; two grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Richard Whitman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
