Gracie McNeely

Gracie Fay McNeely, 93, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born Sept. 6, 1920, at Painton, Mo., daughter of Henry Lee and Rosa Lee Simmons Kennedy. Gracie and Henry William McNeely were married July 2, 1937, in Jackson. He preceded her in death Jan. 22, 1988.

Gracie was a member of First Baptist Church in Delta.

Survivors include a son, Larry (Ruth) McNeely of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; a daughter, Joan (Larry) Quinn of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Joyce Whitaker; an infant son, David; three sisters; a brother; stepfather, Otto Brown; and three stepbrothers.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Patrick Tankersley officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
