GRACE M. MAGEE

CAIRO, Ill. -- Graveside service for Grace M. Magee of Los Angeles, Calif., will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Cairo City Cemetery in Villa Ridge. The Rev. Kenneth Provines will officiate, with Barkett Funeral Home of Cairo in charge of arrangements.

Magee, 88, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 1992, in Los Angeles.

She was born March 21, 1904, in Cairo, daughter of James and Grace Arter Magee.

Magee held a doctorate degree in history, and was dean of women at Los Angeles City College many years. She was a member of the Episcopal Church.

Survivors include cousins, Tootie Newton of Cairo, Joan Craver of Alton, Helen Vowels of Kansas City, Mo., and Gail Wong of Arcadia, Calif.
