DONGOLA, Ill. -- Gordon Wright, 64, of Dongola, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 1996, at his home. He was born Jan. 29, 1932, son of Green Martin and Effie Mae Davis Wright. He married Nina Newman in Jonesboro on June 5, 1954. He was employed at Bunny Bread and worked construction until 1980. He was a member of the Lockard Chapel Baptist Church...

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Gordon Wright, 64, of Dongola, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 1996, at his home.

He was born Jan. 29, 1932, son of Green Martin and Effie Mae Davis Wright. He married Nina Newman in Jonesboro on June 5, 1954. He was employed at Bunny Bread and worked construction until 1980. He was a member of the Lockard Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Derk A. Wright and Mark W. Wright; three daughters, Patricia A. Simms, Karen J. George and Julie K. Lingle; six brothers; and three sisters.

He was preceded in death by and a sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel of Hileman & Parr Funeral Services of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel, with the Revs. Larry Wright and Herman Painter officiating. Burial will be in the St. Johns Cemetery.
