FROHNA, Mo. -- Gordon Sumner Musser, 67, of Frohna died Sept. 6, 2015, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Oct. 27, 1947, in Upland, California, son of Hope (Frey) Musser, who survives in California, and the late John Alvin Musser. He married Brenda Sue Vogel on Feb. 11, 1978. She survives in Frohna.
Gordon was a retired dairyman. He was a member of the Brazeau Presbyterian Church.
He was a member of the United States military Army branch and served in Vietnam. He was a member of the East Perry County Lions Club. He was an avid beekeeper, gardener, elk hunter and lover of the outdoors. He loved to travel and spend time with his very large family.
His wife, children and grandchildren were his greatest joys.
He enjoyed making new friends and helping others; he was a true people person.
Other survivors include two daughters and two sons, Jennifer (Craig) Burrows of California, John (Amber) Musser of Hawaii, Nicole (Ethan) Tyer of New York and Thomas (Katie) Musser of California; eight grandchildren, Trever, Conner, Jacob, Gracen, Emily, Madeline, Brendon and Winston; and three brothers and five sisters, Richard (Mary Sue) Musser of Arizona, Elizabeth (Leroy) Allerton of California, Marilyn Hanke of Nevada, Marjorie Mikels of California, Grace (Robert) Lehman of California, Michael (Judy) Musser of Idaho, Ruth (Robert) Lopez of California and Tim (Lois) Musser of Washington.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel.
The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Brazeau Presbyterian Church in Brazeau, Missouri, with the Rev. Bruce Owens officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery, with military graveside provided by American Legion and Delta Team.
Memorials are preferred to Brazeau Presbyterian Church.
