Gordon Christian

MARION, Ill. -- Gordon Dean Christian, 62, of Marion died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale in Carbondale, Ill.

He was born May 24, 1941, at Perks, Ill., son of Clarence and Pauline Price Christian.

Christian retired as an assembly worker with Ford Motor Co. in Michigan.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Christian of Newport, Mich., Terry Christian of Romulus, Mich.; three brothers, Junior Christian of Bronson, Mich., Curtis Christian of Romulus, Jerry Christian of Lincoln Park, Mich.; four sisters, Nancy Kelley of Anna, Ill., Shirley Doan of Osceola, Ind., Wanda Baker of Marion, Brenda Ladanyi of Olive Branch, Ill.; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Revs. John Warren and Jason Warren will officiate. Burial will be in Meisenheimer/Mount Olive Cemetery east of Dongola, Ill.
