Goldie Hobeck, 95, of Friedheim passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 1, 1924, in Daisy to Elmer and Nora Hahs Henry. She and Floyd Hobeck were married March 13, 1943, in Jackson. They had been married nearly 63 years, when Floyd passed away Feb. 11, 2006...

Goldie Hobeck, 95, of Friedheim passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 1, 1924, in Daisy to Elmer and Nora Hahs Henry. She and Floyd Hobeck were married March 13, 1943, in Jackson. They had been married nearly 63 years, when Floyd passed away Feb. 11, 2006.

She was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church in Daisy, serving as trustee and custodian for more than 20 years. She was also a member of United Methodist Women and taught Sunday school many years.

Survivors include three children, Patsy (Larry) Ford and James (Diana) Hobeck of Oak Ridge and Randy (Patricia) Hobeck of Friedheim; grandchildren, Susan (Steve) Rainey of Nashville, Tennessee, Angela (Terry) Zoellner of Cape Girardeau, Steven (Leah) Ford of Friedheim, Cathy (Brian) Strickland of Jackson, Cindy (Josh Sherertz) Wachter of Marion, Illinois, Eric (Holly) Hobeck of Friedheim, Alana (Justin) Borgfield of Daisy, Alisha (Kent) McCormick of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Andrew Hobeck of Columbia, Missouri; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Hobeck and Inez Hobeck, both of Jackson, and Euldine McWilliams of Bentonville, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Virgil Henry.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kathleen Moran officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Daisy.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to New Salem Church.
