Goldie M. Moore Hardin, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born April 28, 1919, in Barlow, Ky., daughter of Douglas and Julie Marie Baker Moore. She and Alvie Elvis Hardin were married June 7, 1942, in Cape Girardeau. He died Nov. 22, 1991.
Hardin moved to Cape Girardeau in 1957 from Cairo, Ill. She worked in housekeeping at Marquette Hotel five years, and in the Group Housing kitchen at Southeast Missouri State University five years. She was a member of Word of Life Fellowship.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Hardin of Park Hills, Mo., Jerry Hardin of Scott City, Mo.; a daughter, the Rev. Betty Griffith of Holts Summit, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Jestus of Cape Girardeau, Jenny Myitt of Barlow; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Don Henson and Betty Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
