Goldie Collins
BLODGETT -- Goldie Elnorah Collins, 92, of Blodgett died at her home Saturday, Aug. 7. 1999.
She was born Feb. 18, 1907, in Gatewood, daughter of Richmond and Menvera Wright Sadler. She married Edgar Collins on Aug. 5, 1925, in Tryon, Okla. He died Oct. 14, 1956.
She was employed by the H.J. Heinz Co. in Holland, Mich. She moved to Blodgett from New Richmond, Mich., in 1984. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by four sons, Kenneth and Roy Collins, both of Holland, Bob Collins of Scottsville, Ky., and Donald Collins of Bridgman, Mich.; two daughters, Melba Colbert of Blodgett and Dicky Lynxwiler of Bloomfield; two sisters, Helen Dalton of Fennville, Mich., and Juanita Carpenter of Eureka, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, six brothers, a sister and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Lee Fansler officiating.
Burial will be at the Maynard City Cemetery in Randolph County in Arkansas.
