GOLDA M. WALLACE

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Golda Mae Wallace of East Prairie was held Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. Larry Smith officiated, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Wallace, 78, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born April 14, 1913, in Kentucky, daughter of Harris and Lillie Shelton Duncan. She married Charles Franklin Wallace Aug. 18, 1929. He died Aug. 18, 1966.

Wallace attended Freewill Baptist Church here.

Survivors include six sons, Clyde, Charles Jr., Jimmy and Ronnie Wallace of East Prairie; William Wallace of Caruthersville, Carl Wallace of Charleston; two daughters, Mary Marcum and Peggy Hodge of East Prairie; a half brother, Iley Douglas of Columbus, Ga.; 22 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, brother, sister and two grandchildren.
