Gloria Loughary, 59, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 9, 1957, to Leona and Jewel "JT" Goodon, who are deceased.
Originally from Gideon, Missouri, she moved to Cape Girardeau in the 1980s to attend Southeast Missouri State University, and remained in the area to raise her daughter.
She worked at Jackson Manor and Lee Rowan.
Gloria was an avid reader, who passed her love of reading onto her daughter and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Green; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Liam, and Abigail Green of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Sandra "Pepper" Ellis and Geraldine Harless, both of Clarkton, Missouri, and Frances Sutton of Portageville, Missouri; and many close friends, including her longest friendship with Eileen Holman of Jackson.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Cathedral, where she was a parishioner.
