PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Glennon L. Behrle, 79, of Perryville passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at home with his family.

He was born Feb. 13, 1933, in Millheim, Mo., son of Henry and Dena Schumer Behrle. He and Joan Chatron were married May 5, 1956.

Glennon began his career as an electrician with Moll Electric in Perryville, and he retired from Sachs Electric in St. Louis. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 133, and a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus. He was a proud member of I.B.E.W. Local No. 1, and active in Boy Scouts.

He was a veteran of the Korean conflict.

Survivors include his wife; five children, Glenda Behrle and Jeff (Clare) Behrle of St. Louis, Jon (Gail) Behrle of Buffalo, Mo., Amy (Patrick) Sutterer of Perryville, Jay Behrle (Liese Hutchison) of Key West, Fla.; a sister, Verna Gibbar of Perryville; seven grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, Grace, Miranda, Andrew, Jacob and Rachel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Raymond; two sisters, Zelma Davis and Mary Dell Cissell.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A Catholic wake will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday..

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Rickey Valleroy officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery with military graveside service provided by American Legion and Delta Honors Team.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Ste. Genevieve Oncology Department.
