Glenn Eugene "Hunk" Wright Sr., 77, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Ware, Ill., to Glenn Edward Wright and Helen Winn Wright Storm.
Wright served with the Navy in Korea.
He was a member of VFW Post 3455 in Anna, Ill.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Owen of Winchester, Ky., Tammy (Troy) Hamilton of Cape Girardeau; a son, Glenn Eugene Wright Jr. of McClure, Ill.; a brother, Leon Storm; three sisters, Helen "Sissy" Oxford, Glenda Newbolds, Gladys Petzoldt; four grandsons, William "Tyler" Davis, Leevi Daniel Grammer, Logan Patrick Wright, Hunter Paul Hamilton; and a granddaughter, Grace Corine Owen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Wayne Franklin "Dutch" Wright.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phillip Roop officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro City Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ill., with full military honors performed by VFW Post 3455.
