Funeral service for Glenn E. Fornkohl of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. David V. Dissen will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park, with graveside rites by VFW Post 3838.
Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Fornkohl, 72, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 23, 1923, at Egypt Mills, son of Henry C. and Mary Day Fornkohl. He and Delores Humes were married April 20, 1958.
Fornkohl worked two years at John Deere Co. in Dubuque, Iowa. He came to Cape Girardeau in 1948 and was a shop foreman and head mechanic at Heuer Sons Implement Co. until retiring in 1994. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and VFW Post 3838.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Caulfield of Lees Summit; five brothers, Lester, Lawrence, Norman and Delbert Fornkohl of Cape Girardeau, Bobby Fornkohl of Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Doris Eagle and Eva Feuerhahn of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
