MCCLURE, ILL. Glenn E. Wright, 82, of McClure, died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 1992, at Life Care Center in Jonesboro.
He was born July 10, 1909, at Ware, son of Wayne and Nellie Modglin Wright.
He married Anna Mae Waterman July 16, 1958. She survives.
Wright was a retired construction worker and was a member of the Teamsters union in West Frankfort. He was of the Baptist faith.
Other survivors are a daughter, Helen Oxford, East Cape Girardeau; sons, Dutch Wright, Jonesboro, Glenn "Hunk" Wright, Thebes, and Eddie Wright, Jolon, Calif.; stepsons, Fred and Van C. Greenley, both of Collinsville; stepdaughters, Dixie Warren, South Roxanna, and Barbara Drury, East Alton; a brother, Kate Wright, Ware; a sister, Nellie Downs, East Cape Girardeau; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Three sisters, a brother and a child preceded him in death.
Service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
