Glenn Elbert Crews, 72, of Scott City died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Marion, Ill.
He was born Feb. 22, 1932, at Risco, Mo., son of Oscar B. and Fletta Scott Crews.
Mr. Crews had been a riverboat pilot.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include four sons, Doyle Crews of Fruitland, Donald Crews of Land O'Lakes, Fla., Danny Crews of Malden, Mo., Douglas Crews of Jonesboro, Ark.; a daughter, Melissa Sills of Hornbeak, Tenn.
Also surviving are five brothers, Lynn Crews of North Richland Hills, Texas, Elwood Crews of Liberty, Miss., J.E. Crews of Rives, Mo., Kenny Crews of Hillsboro, Mo., Lonnie Crews of Scott City; three sisters, Virginia Lowery and Barbara Clark of Scott City, Eunice Anderson of Christopher, Ill.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dale Elbert Crews on June 22, 2000; two sisters, Melba Crews and Sue Crews Snider; two brothers, Berley and Ronald Crews.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. John Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
