DALEVILLE, Ind. -- Glenn Christian, 72, of Daleville, Ind., formerly of Perks and Mounds in Illinois, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998.
He was born Aug. 23, 1926, in Perks, son of Clarence and Opal Christian.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy.
He owned the G&C Trucking Service in Daleville and was Methodist.
He is survived by his mother, Opal Christian of Perks; two daughters, Janie Ruth Lasley of Daleville and Kelly Pettigrew of Metropolis, Ill.; a son, B.G. Christian of Daleville; two sisters, Mary Jo Butler of Dongola, Ill., and Ruby Mish of St. Charles, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a sister and a brother.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, Ill., with Scott Kelley officiating. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery at Grand Chain, Ill.
Friends may call today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
