Glenn Burcks

GLEN ALLEN, Mo. — Glenn Dewayne Burcks, 62, formerly of Mississippi County, Missouri, died from injuries sustained in a tornado that struck Glen Allen early Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

Glenn was born May 2, 1960, in Charleston, Missouri, to the late Donald Richard and Jurlene Leda Cecile Brown Burcks. He had lived in Glen Allen a number of years.

He was formerly married to Susan Marie Kirkpatrick Sullivan, who also died in the same tragic event Wednesday, April 5, 2023, along with their granddaughter, Destinee Nicole Koenig, and his nephew, James Robert "Jimmy" Skaggs.

Surviving is his daughter, Amanda Ellis of Sikeston, Missouri; brothers, Mike (Lillie Albritton) Burcks of Sikeston, Donald (Dorothy) Burcks of Wyatt, Missouri, and Christopher (Shannon) Burcks of Tennessee; two sisters, Regina Burcks of Bertrand, Missouri, and Donna Haley of Charleston; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

A private burial will follow.
