Funeral for Glenn Franklin Amelunke of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Douglas C. Breite will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Amelunke, 67, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at his home.
He was born Nov. 13, 1932, at Dutchtown, son of Leo W. and Elma Painter Amelunke Sr. He and Barbara Smith were married June 2, 1957, in Cape Girardeau.
Amelunke was reared in Dutchtown and graduated from Chaffee High School. He worked for Little River Drainage District, Cape Sand Co. and Rose Con, and retired as office manager with American Van Lines April 13, 1995.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-56.
Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Leo and Robert Amelunke of Cape Girardeau, and Eldon Amelunke of Glendale, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
