SIKESTON, Mo. -- Glenda Faye Wasson, 65, of Sikeston died Friday Feb. 25, 2005, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
She was born Feb. 9, 1940, daughter of Buford and Mildred Ernestine Floyd Harder. Her father died when she was an infant, and she was raised by her stepfather, Jim Pitts. She was a court clerk administrator for the city of Sikeston and later for the city of Miner. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, a member and co-founder of the Delta Area Center Blind and the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW.
She and Farrell E. Wasson were married May 9, 1955, in Holly Springs, Miss. He died June 4, 1986.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Wasson of Scott City; a daughter, Teresa Kaye Woods of Sikeston; a brother, Jimmy Pitts of Kennett; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, a daughter, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rick Lasley officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
