HILLSBORO, Mo. -- Glenda J. Stout, 89, of Hillsboro, formerly of Perry County, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, Mo. She was born Feb. 28, 1920, in Perry County, daughter of Charles and Pearl Johnson Head. She married Clifford M. Heaps, who preceded her in death in 1997. She then married Vernis L. Stout, who preceded her in death Nov. 21, 2005...

HILLSBORO, Mo. -- Glenda J. Stout, 89, of Hillsboro, formerly of Perry County, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, Mo.

She was born Feb. 28, 1920, in Perry County, daughter of Charles and Pearl Johnson Head. She married Clifford M. Heaps, who preceded her in death in 1997. She then married Vernis L. Stout, who preceded her in death Nov. 21, 2005.

Stout worked at American Can Co. in St. Louis. She was a member of Whitewater Christian Church in Perry County.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Heaps of Pevely, Mo., Patrick Heaps of Perryville; two daughters, Charlotte Jones of Hillsboro, Pamela Dillow of Barnhart, Mo.; a stepson, David Stout of St. Louis; three sisters, Ada Winkler of Hillsboro, Lenore Porter of St. Charles, Mo., Patsy Gentry of Bellevue, Neb.; two brothers, Leeman Head of Perryville, Victor Head of Farmington, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by parents, two husbands, a stepson, a sister and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Whitewater Christian Church, with the Rev. Melvin Weiss officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Marcus Cemetery in St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
