Glenda Ruth Brock Milam, 85, of Benton, passed away on Aug. 14, 2024. A dedicated worker at Nickerson Farms and Drury Lodge, she is survived by three sons, 12 grandchildren, and many other family members. Visitation is on Aug. 16, with the funeral on Aug. 17.

Glenda Ruth Brock Milam, 85, of Benton died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Dec. 9, 1938, in Benton to Glenn Albert and Geraldine Pauline LeGrand Brock.

She married Robert William “Bill” Milam on Nov. 1, 1954, and he preceded her in death Jan. 13, 2002.

Glenda worked at Nickerson Farms for 13 years as a dedicated employee and was motherlike to all the children who worked there.

Once Nickerson Farms closed, she moved on to Drury Lodge for 33 years and then retired. While at Drury, Glenda enjoyed making friends with customers and co-workers. She was meticulous at her job!

Glenda is survived by three sons, Bruce (Rosa) Milam of Scott City and Brad (Rita) Milam and Brock (Amy) Milam of Benton; two brothers, Larue (Debbie) Douglas and Tommy Douglas of Texas; a sister, Mary Beth Hassenpflug of Texas; three sisters-in-law, Sue (Charles) Pratt, Lillian Milam and Thelma Haney; special niece, Kathy (Larry) Tegtmeyer; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Brian and Blaine Milam, and two sisters, Carla Salik and Janie Milam.

The family would like to add a special thanks to Bertrand Nursing Center for taking care of Glenda during her last few months and especially the doctors and caring nurses at Missouri Medical Delta Center for their incredible care during her last few days.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery in Morley.
