Glenda Sue Gurley, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Sept. 9, 1947, in East Prairie, Mo., to Johnnie and Imogene Prince Boyer. She and Wade A. Gurley were married Oct. 20, 1989, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in May 2003.
Gurley worked at Thorngate several years, and then was an assistant caregiver four years with American Home Care. She was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include a sister, Pauline Carter of East Prairie; two nephews, Ed Boyer of Jackson and Michael Martin of Park Hills, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cape County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Jim Sanderson officiating.
