BLOOMFIELD -- Graveside service for Glena Fortner was held Tuesday at Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield. The Rev. Gerald King officiated.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Home at Dexter was in charge of arrangements.
Fortner, 81, died Monday, May 19, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 25, 1915, at Bloomfield, daughter of Ollie and Lovie Ann Norton Atherton. She and Wilbur Fortner were married Oct. 22, 1934, at Bloomfield. He died July 13, 1994.
Fortner lived at Bloomfield most of her life, moving to Dexter in 1983. She had resided at Bloomfield Nursing Center since 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Annis Fortner of Dexter, Ruth Doublin of Puxico; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
