BLODGETT, Mo. -- Glen Allen Rice, 79, of Blodgett died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at his home.
He was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Dyersburg, Tenn., son of Charles Rupert and Bonnie Avis Robert Rice. He and Christine Wade were married Nov. 23, 1961, in Sikeston, Mo.
Rice was a utility lineman with REA 32 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Blodgett Church of Christ and was an elder several years.
He was a corporal in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, serving as a radar mechanic.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Russell and Walter Rice of Blodgett; five daughters, Sue Fodge of Sikeston, Rita Vaught and Angela Rice of Blodgett, Emily Hutchinson of Cape Girardeau, Mary Hicks of Corning, Ark.; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with Lloyd Boley officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery.
