Glen J. Hinkebein, 62, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at the family home.
He was born May 8, 1952, in Cape Girardeau to the late Luke Theodore and Leevada Lee Mier Hinkebein.
Glen was a retired director of business development at Penzel Construction in Jackson; he was also facility supervisor for SoutheastHEALH in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau, past member of the Copper Dome Society of Southeast Missouri State University, SEMO Athletic Booster Club, Cape Girardeau Kiwanis Club, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and Cape Girardeau Board of Appeals.
Survivors include his son, Luke Richard P. Hinkebein of Cape Girardeau, and his sister, Jennifer Lyn Roach of Blytheville, Arkansas; brothers Tom (Sharon) Hinkebein of Sun City, Florida, Robert (Theresa) Hinkebein and Mike (Ann) Hinkebein of Chaffee, Missouri, and Dan (Victoria) Hinkebein of Fenton, Missouri; one sister, Mary (Ernie) Duncan of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish rosary will be at 6 p.m. Visitation also will be from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
