BENTON, Mo. -- Glen Harper, 69, of Benton died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 4, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, to Raymond Glenburn and Virginia Lee Bertrand Harper.
Glen had worked for Bertrand Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of the Carpenters Union in Kansas City.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Harper of Scott City; three sons, Junior Harper of Cape Girardeau, Travis and Brandon Harper of Benton; two daughters, Gwen Jackson of Pomona, Mo., Kim Britton of Jackson; two brothers, Gary Harper of St. Charles, Mo., Jim Harper of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Jane Montgomery of Kelso, Mo., Gail Riley of Blodgett, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a sister and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
Burial will be private.
