Glen Eric Eaker, 97, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1994, at his home.

He was born Dec. 19, 1896, near Lutesville, son of William W. and Mary M. Galloway Eaker. He and Furlie V. James were married Jan. 12, 1918.

Eaker was a retired farmer, and member of Point Pleasant General Baptist Church near Marble Hill.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jess and James Eaker of Cape Girardeau, Jack Eaker of Wood River, Ill.; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, daughter, two brothers, five sisters and a grandson.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. The Rev. Gene Robbins will officiate, with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
