Gladys Steel, 93, of Cape Girardeau passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, in Port Charlotte, Florida. She was born April 8, 1923, in Cape Girardeau. Gladys was a devoted mother and homemaker. Gladys Steel, 93, of Cape Girardeau passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, in Port Charlotte, Florida.

She was born April 8, 1923, in Cape Girardeau.

Gladys was a devoted mother and homemaker.

Survivors are three sons, Leslie (Nancy) Steel of Port Charlotte, Stephen (Terry) Steel of Naples, Florida, and Terry (Sheila) Steel of Jackson; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Jeffery, Etson and John Steel; her husband, Leslie "Buddy" Steel; a grandchild, Gregory Steel; and two great-grandchildren, Cassidy Perry and baby Crew Steel.

Gladys was a lifelong member of her beloved Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
