JONESBORO, Ill. -- Gladys Shelton, 89, of Jonesboro died Monday, Sept. 29, 1997, at Union County Hospital.
She was born Aug. 15, 1908, at Reynoldsville, daughter of Pearl F. and Clara E. Knupp Eudy. She and James Elbert Shelton were married Nov. 2, 1935, in Dongola. He died March 6, 1985.
Shelton was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Joyce Duncan of Jonesboro, Sue Rendleman and Kay DeFosset of Anna, Linda Banks of Herod; a brother, Walter Eudy of Oconto, Wis.; a sister, Opal Smith of Cahokia; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, four brothers, and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
