EAST PRAIRIE -- Gladys Beatrice Parker, 87, of East Prairie died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at East Prairie Nursing Center.
She was born March 5, 1910, in Mississippi County, daughter of Gus Adolph and Amy Alice Hines Henry. She and Walter Ray Parker were married Aug. 30, 1933, in Charleston. He preceded her in death.
Parker retired from Budget Laundry in 1980.
Survivors include a son, Ralph Parker of Macon; four daughters, Doris Lineberry of Indianapolis, Ind.; Rebecca Allen of Shelbyville, Ind., Ruth Morgan and Martha Busby of East Prairie; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; six stepgrandchildren; 20 great-stepgrandchildren; and several great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, two stepsons, a grandson, and a great-great-grandson.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 1 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Jackson officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
