GLADYS LENTZ

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Gladys N. Lentz of Dongola will be held at 11 a.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. John Shelton will officiate, with burial in Christian Chapel Cemetery.

Lentz, 78, died Tuesday, July 29, 1997, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

She was born Jan. 3, 1919, at Kewanee, daughter of George and Carrie Ramage McCluskey. She first married Emil Schnaare, who died Aug. 1, 1954. She later married Loren Lentz, who died April 1, 1978.

Lentz was a member of Wetaug Church of Christ and Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include two daughters, Doris Gulley of Wetaug and Opal Theis of Anna; a stepson, Billie Lentz of Dongola; two stepdaughters, Vida Schluter of Texarkana, Texas, and Carolyn Wynn of Ste. Marie; a half sister, Gertrude Julian of Paducah, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
