EAST PRAIRIE -- Gladys E. Lee, 89, of Fairhope, Ala., formerly of East Prairie, died Monday, July 14, 1997, at the home of a son, following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 28, 1907, in Barlow, Ky., daughter of Samuel and Winona Small Hinchey. She and Raidt E. Lee were married in 1934. He died June 16, 1960.
Lee moved to Fairhope 11 years ago from East Prairie. She was a member of Nelson United Methodist Church in East Prairie.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Lee of Fairhope; two daughters, Linda Fones of Jackson, Calif., Mary Cooper of Arvada, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
