PATTON -- Gladys I. Smith, 75, of Patton, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 1995, at her home.

She was born Sept. 23, 1919, at Alliance, daughter of Jimmy D. and Ethel Doggett Johnson. She and William F. Smith were married Dec. 14, 1938.

Smith was a member of Old Bethel Freewill Baptist Church near Patton.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Roy Smith of Marquand, Kenneth Smith of Sedgewickville, Donnie Smith of Millersville; two daughters, Nelda Sides of Millersville, Doris Smothers of Gordonville; three brothers, Lancie Johnson of Bonne Terre, Leslie Johnson of Perryville, Lawrence Johnson of Sedgewickville, and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, sister and grandchild.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton after 3 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Revs. Truman Huffman and O.D. Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Church Cemetery.
