Gladys Hughes

FROHNA, Mo. -- Gladys M. Hughes, 78, of Frohna died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 27, 1925, at Wittenberg, Mo., daughter of Paul and Louise Hellwege.

Hughes retired from International Shoe Co. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Wells of Leadwood, Mo.; four sons, Roy Bibbs of Fenton, Mo., Gary Dobbelare of Perryville, Mo., Paul Bonney of St. Louis, Michael Bonney of Chester, Ill.; a brother, Wilbert Hellwege of St. Louis; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg, Mo., from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Concordia Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Wayne Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery at Altenburg.
