Lillian Gladys Clayton, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Fountainbleau Lodge. She was born Feb. 12, 1910, in Cullman, Ala., daughter of Talmer Alphus and Harriet Abercrombie Barfoot. She and Joseph W. Clayton were married Jan. 18, 1927, at Parma, Mo. He died Oct. 4, 1970...

Lillian Gladys Clayton, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born Feb. 12, 1910, in Cullman, Ala., daughter of Talmer Alphus and Harriet Abercrombie Barfoot. She and Joseph W. Clayton were married Jan. 18, 1927, at Parma, Mo. He died Oct. 4, 1970.

Clayton was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Malden, Mo.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Fleurdelys of Cape Girardeau; a son, Gene Clayton of Del City, Okla.; a sister, Edna Bentley of Gideon, Mo.; two brothers, Millard Barfoot of Kansas City, Kan., Huitt Barfoot of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Walter Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
