COBDEN, Ill. -- Gladys A. Casper, 85, of Cobden died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 20, 1916, in Makanda, Ill., daughter of William T. and Amanda Williams Bennett. She and Charles Walter Casper were married Oct. 29, 1932, in Jackson, Mo. He died May 2, 1997.
Casper was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church near Makanda.
Survivors include a daughter, Luella Watkins of Anna, Ill.; four sons, Kenneth Casper of Peoria, Ill., Wallace Casper of St. Louis, Charles Casper of Yuma, Tenn., Ronald Casper of Cobden; four sisters, Margie Weber of Highland, Ill., Imogene Olmsted of Arizona, Genevieve Heitzman and Vera Donaldson of Eugene, Ore.; a brother, Billie Bennett of Elkville, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, a sister, and two grandsons.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. Daryl Varble officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
